JAMIE SCRUGGS - Certified Dental Assistant

Jamie Scruggs is a graduate of Trident Technical College’s Expanded Duty Dental Assisting program. She is a Charleston native and was born and raised on Sullivan’s Island. Jamie and her husband Joe are the proud parents of two boys, Andrew and Owen. They enjoy having Nerf gun battles with their kids and traveling to Asheville.  Jamie also enjoys playing co-ed softball, baking, cleaning, and football season!

SHENETA LADSON - Certified Dental Assistant

Sheneta is a graduate of Trident Technical College’s Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Program. She is a native of Walterboro and currently resides in Summerville. She and her husband Travis are proud parents of Jaliyah who is the true joy in their life. When not playing at our office she loves to travel, shop and spend time with family.

LYNETT RODRIGUEZ - Dental Assistant

Lynett is a graduate of Kaplan Career Institute’s Dental Assisting Program.  She was born and raised in Mexico where she met her husband, Dimas.  Together they have two very active girls Alyssa and Jillian.  The family recently moved to Mt Pleasant after living in the Pacific North West and South West.

Lynett es graduada  del programa de asistente dental  de Kaplan Career Institute.  Nació y se crio en México en donde conoció a su esposo Dimas.  Juntos tienen dos niñas muy activas Alyssa y Jillian.  La familia recientemente se mudo a Mount Pleasant después de haber vivido en el noroeste  y suroeste del país.

ANGIE ROUVA - Dental Hygienist

Angie was born in Greece and moved to Charleston when she was ten years old. She obtained her Dental Hygiene Degree from Trident Technical College. She is a member of The American Dental Hygienist Association and the Charleston Dental Hygienist Association. Angie is passionate about delivering personalized care, preventing dental disease, and achieving optimal oral health for all her patients. In her spare time she enjoys; going out on the boat with friends, painting, freelance photography, art shows and plays downtown.

KIM HILTZ - Dental Assistant

Kimberly has re-located to Charleston from Richmond Va.  She has been a dental assistant since 2009 and plans on continuing her education to receive her CDA.  In her spare time she enjoys shopping, going to the beach and cooking.  Kimberly is a huge Minnesota Viking's Fan and loves rooting her Va Tech Hookie's on during football season.   She is the oldest of four children and loves spending as much time as possible with her family.  Some of her favorite things are Palm Trees, Flip Flops, Yankee Candles, Nap Time and being a part of the Clean Teeth Crew!

TIFFANY SMITH - Dental Hygienist

Tiffany Smith was born and raised in Charleston, SC, but lived in Richmond, VA for the beginning of her high school year. After 2 years, she transferred back home and graduated from Hanahan High School. She started her freshman year at the College of Charleston, finished her prerequisites, and then went to Trident Technical College for the Dental Hygiene program. Tiffany graduated in May of 2010 and is now a registered dental hygienist. In her spare time, she loves spending her time at the lake, going on the boat & jet skiing, playing poker, and eating!

MELISSA CMAR – Dental Assistant

Born and raised in SC.  She went to the Dental Assisting Training School of Mt. Pleasant.  Melissa has two children, Jeffery and Serena and her baby boy Pogo, a Chihuahua.  She loves doing anything to do with the water and outside, boating, skiing, kneeboarding, camping and a relaxing day at the beach or an exciting day at an amusement park. 

LORI WOODS – Office Manager

Lori Woods is a native Texan who loves the lowcountry! Lori and her husband Tripp have two four legged children Lily and Rena who are full of life. In her spare time she likes to photograph children and families. She also enjoys the forgotten art of quilting.

SHANNON HEILING - Front Desk

Shannon is a native of Virginia.  She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  She is an enthusiastic athletic fan of her alma mater.  Shannon resides in Charleston with her husband Brook, who is stationed at the Air Force Base. When not working, she and her husband enjoy spending days on the water, being active outdoors, listening to live music and traveling. 

VIVIAN HIOTT - Phone receptionist

Vivian is a native of the Lowcountry and was born and raised in Walterboro, SC.   She has a spoiled rotten Chihuahua “Bee” that she absolutely adores. In her free time she enjoys floating and boating on the river, River Dogs baseball, college football “Go Gamecocks” and jewelry antiquing. The most important thing to Vivian is spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend Joey.

FLEURETTE ANCRUM - Front Desk

Fleurette was born and raised in California. She lived in Arizona, Mexico, Dominican Republic before coming all the way to South Carolina. Fleurette is fluent in Spanish and in her free time she enjoys volunteering, playing sports, jewelry making and traveling to the Caribbean with her husband, Robert.

Fleurette nació y se crio en California. Despues de haber vivido en Arizona, Mexico, y la Republica Dominicana llegó a Sur de Carolina donde de conoció a su esposo, Roberto. Fleurette habla Español y le gusta pasar tiempo viajando con su esposo en el Caribe, hacienda joyeria y voluntando su tiempo para ayudar a la comunidad Hispana.

MR TOOTH - Mascot

My name is Mr Tooth and I joined the CKD team in October of 2009.   I am from the Dominican Republic and I have been all around the country doing children’s carnivals, festivals, and fairs. I am glad to have finally found my home with Coastal Kids Dental in Charleston, SC where the people are friendly and the weather is warm.  Aside from my love of brushing and flossing, I enjoy spending time teaching children how to care for their teeth and educating the public on proper oral care.  You can find me at most CKD events with the staff.  I love to take pictures with all of the kids so come on over and give me a hug next time I’m out!
