About Dr. Kjersti

Dr. Kjersti (pronounced Kirstie in English) Damsker is from a small town in Norway.  She grew up the daughter of two teachers with a ski slope outside her back window, a horse in the barn, and a dog always nearby.

Dr. Kjersti attended the University of Oslo, where she received her Candidata Odontologiae (Dental Surgeon) degree.  While she was a student, Dr. Kjersti volunteered at a local nursing home providing help and companionship to the residents.  She practiced general dentistry in Norway for a few years and then did the same in England before moving to the United States.  Dr. Kjersti earned her DMD degree from Boston University where she graduated with high honors and membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon – the Dental Honor Society.  While she has worked in both general and pediatric practices, her passion for working with kids makes Coastal Kids Dental & Braces the perfect place to be. 

At home, Dr. Kjersti enjoys the company of her husband and two young boys.  When she is not answering every “but why momma?” question, Dr. Kjersti tries to indulge her love of fine food, travel, and the great outdoors.
